…Helena began her concert in the Lucerna with a grand beginning directly from the audience seating. Almost no one noticed how she had quietly slipped into the audience and waited for the end of the slideshow presentation. As the restless audience watched for the show to continue on the stage, Helena managed to create a shocking surprise in the crowd as she began to sing first words of her hit "Ja pujdu dal" directly in the middle of the sold-out hall and continued singing while walking to the stage.
For this surprising beginning she received a thunderous applause. Helena delivered hit after hit on this stunning evening as well as delivering more surprises.
One surprise was her guest, Jitka Zelenkova, with whom she sang first the Silver Bratislava Lyra hit, "Oh Baby, Baby" and then the temperamental song, "Proud Mary".
…After intermission during the festive ceremonies, Helena received the Golden Record for the CD with Jiri Korn, "Tech par dnu", which was released last spring. The wonderful friendship between Helena and Jiri during their hit, "Ja na brachu blues" was delightfully performed. Both presented this comical song with an original sketch performed some years ago, with both performers together in a pair of handcuffs. For the enjoyment of the public, the handcuffs were not opened as quickly after the performance and the following act, 4TET, was delayed with their stage entrance.
…The yearly donation of checks to the "Our Child" Foundation amounted to a nice sum. Because of the great satisfaction over the enclosed financial amount, Zuzana Baudysova, requested the audience members to participate via SMS in support for Helena's Nightingale competition. This competition will culminate on December 8. For this appeal to the audience, Zuzana Baudysova received an agreeing applause.
…After all the “formalities”, Helena continued with a gigantic show in a style which only she can deliver. This time she didn’t stay only with her proven hits. The crowd went wild with the renewed versions of her songs, "Vzhuru k vyskam", "Jsem jaka jsem" and "Rhythmus-mix", which was a spectacular, choreographed creation complete with a noble dance number with the female choir members from Boom! Band. No one could stop anymore the enthusiastic crowd under the stage The atmosphere in the hall was gorgeous and a nice mixture of cultural diversity - a Swedish flag flew overhead, an Italian gave a huge bouquet to Helena and one could hear German and Polish in the galleries. Some of Helena's fans travelled from Slovakia, France, Switzerland and Russia to attend the concert.
received an invitation from the polish TV channel, TVN, for the sixth series of the live dance show, "Taniec z gwiazdami" which they will participate in. During 12 Sunday evenings they will compete against 13 other pairs for the "favourite dance team" title voted by the polish audience. On the dance program there will be a segment of Standard dance and also Latin-American dance. As many of you have seen from the Slovak show from last year how Helena and Milan mastered all dances with style and ease. Hopefully we will also see the excitement the duo will ignite in the Warsaw audiences as previously seen in the captivated Bratislava audiences!

The Zofin Palace hasn't seen such a splendid party in years. The audience filled the hall to capacity. During intermission, one couldn't move in the foyer due to the packed crowd. Many celebrities with huge bouquets were present and the organizer, the NKL Zofin Agency, declared this evening as the best event since many years.
The special honoree of the evening, Helena Vondrackova, didn't leave the stage the entire evening. She shined with energy and wit as her vocal talent was in best ever condition for the event. She changed several gorgeous costumes during the concert as well as received armfuls of flowers and greeted fellow colleagues with whom she has spent part of her professional life. Waldemar Matuska was absent due to health problems.
Only the most famous hits were included in the evening presentation which created a stir of applause and delight in the audience. Flashes of light bulbs from photographers were constantly blinking during the concert and a symbolic conclusion of this magnificent evening was a bonus of "Cervena reka".

Not even a half year has gone by and Helena's "Award Collection" has increased with three additional awards. On February 20, Helena received three awards from the Universal Music representatives. She received a gold for her 4CD "Zlata kolekce" and "Helena Gold" DVD and a platinum for her new CD "Zastav se (...a poslouchej)" .
Helena's confirmation entry for the national round of the Eurovision Song Contest was rejected. She feared irregular votes, insufficient advertising for the Czech Round and the continual change of rules for the competition. Helena will not sing the new song, "Ha,ha,ha".
From February 23, 2007 you can vote for the Czech finalist in the Eurovision Song Contest. In case Helena wins the Czech national round, she will travel to Helsinki for the semi-final which will be on May 10, 2007. The Finale will be on May 12, 2007. Please support Helena with your votes!
Helena received the anchor position on the new program, “Hvezdy u piana” which is aired on channel “TV Prima” every Friday evening. It is basically a music quiz which tests the knowledge of viewers at home and in the studio over their favorite hits.
Helena will open the most significant match of the Czech Soccer National Team for the EURO 2008 qualification. She will sing the German national anthem before the Czech-Germany match, which will take place at the Prague-Letna Stadium on March 24, 2007. An estimate of 50 million viewers is expected for this broadcast.
